The only legitimate use for flexi's is to daisychain them together to aid in the training and chastisement of love slaves.

Exactly that. Reduced flow rates and on older properties where the hot water temp can go above 65 degrees, the rubber becomes brittle and bursts. That is also a reason to never standard ones on a heating system.flow rates and temps(solid fuel) i would say.
