Perhaps because they are smaller bore & will reduce the flow because gravity are lower pressure systems?

Favourite subject of System3. I think he will be along very soon to give you an in depth and unbiased answer.

all to do with flow, same reason you would/should use full bore iso valves problem is customers don't want to pay the extra

The only legitimate use for flexi's is to daisychain them together to aid in the training and chastisement of love slaves.

Arghh can't take the pain.......kryptoflexinite, please someone take it away, getting weaker.

I'm deed noo, so you can all form a flexible chain round ma grave.

I've risen from the grave just like some bloke did a few thousand years back, but instead of rolling a boulder, I'm doing the modern version and there's a big tub of Plumbersmate making it's way down Stirling Castle at the moment.

You horrors designed my coffin with flexi handles! When it was lifted they burst, ah well nothing changes there.

No doubt revived by way of applying compression to your vital parts system3?

flow rates and temps(solid fuel) i would say.
Exactly that. Reduced flow rates and on older properties where the hot water temp can go above 65 degrees, the rubber becomes brittle and bursts. That is also a reason to never standard ones on a heating system.

Their use is banned in most public buildings and in hospitals and care homes. The non WRAS ones have been known to harbour Legionaries Disease and must never be used on potable water.
