Hi,

I have a Worcester Greenstar Combi boiler. Recently it started to drip from the bottom of the casing and so I called an engineer who following an inspection said that the leak was due to rain water coming back along the flue and as such nothing he could do! Anyway, on that day it was raining...however for the last few weeks the dripping has been on and off whatever the weather.

This morning there were more drips and we have had no rain, I isolated the boiler and removed the cover only of the boiler to see if I could see where these were originating and it was clear that they were coming in from the very top of the boiler where the flue enters.

I then turned on the boiler and fired it up and watched...to my amazement after a few minutes as the boiler got up to temp water started to almost pour through in waves?!

The flue has been redirected due to a new extension, however this was a year ago and the leak has definitely not been there all that time.

I am confused! Any ideas as to what is happening or advice would be great.

Many thanks in advance.

Gary

switch it off at the wall and don't use it....or you could be looking at a very expensive repair.
