Evening all,

I am fitting a Clearwater classic freestanding bath onto tiles. Under the adhesive is SLC, 10mm wedi, then 18mm marine ply before the joists.

Can I simply screw the feet through the layers into the ply? Or should it be to the joists?

I have added extra supports between the joists.

Many thanks,

Trev

What does it say in the manufacturers installation instructions??

Personally I think if you have added extra supports between the joists (where the feet are going to stand) and spanned them with 18mm marine ply, I would have thought that would be more than enough!
Screw through layers into ply......it would be hard to hit a joist on every foot!

Thanks, that was my thought.

Should have mentioned - the instructions only show a concrete floor. It's an acrylic bath.
