G 1/2 female to speedfit connector?

Just bought a new kitchen tap, and then I found the screw of the kitchen tap won’t fit to any joint of the under sink pipes, I realised these connectors are called speedfit?

Please, any expert can give me some advice that what kind of adapter / connector i should buy to connect the new tap pipes?

Yea you need a male iron fitting

the 2nd photo, the 2 brass pipe go upward directly to the old tap, i think i can detach the 2 speedfix connextors, but just no idea what should i put to connect the new pipes with

i’m not sure what male iron fittings should be used suggested by shaun, i’m just a newbie to home diy 🙁

Yes just disconnect the two pipe in the speedfit connections to the old tape

Plenty of u tube vids on how to do this

Then you can insert these into the speedfit fittings

If the new tap connections are 1/2

Could you fit 2 15mm isolating valves to the pipes just above the existing speedfit fittings , you could then lose the top nut and olive and use your flexi 1/2" nut to screw onto the valves . Cheers kop

Problem with doing that is the flat rubber washers will be tightening against the sharp edge of the new valves.
I normally use brass male straights,
or 15mm rad valve tails if coming out of a compression valve or fitting. Great that they are spares and therefore free. 🙂
But I see there are adaptor fittings for onto flat rubber ended flexies (really identical to rad valve tails)

I know many plumbers do just join onto compression fittings, often the small bore iso valves. I have seen some weeping and one done by a plumber that rotted the copper pipes behind pedestal and eventually leaked through ceiling.
If you use chrome rad valve tails into chrome full flow iso valves, it can look very neat and cost nothing extra due to us having spare valve tails.
I prefer to fit the iso valves wherever is best for them, rather than just the height where the tap flexi is. Then I normally fit male sts, or occasionally male elbows if better. Just so handy when taps need replaced as all options are there when iso’s are separate
