Hi Guys I am having issues resolving my flume location, I wanted to locate my Ideal 45 combi boiler in my garage to free space up in the house, the problem is that I do not have 300mm from the garage door from the flume extract, can anyone suggest another option? If I go out the top of the garage roof it would be to close to the window above... can I divert the flume upwards from where I planned to exit at the front o the garage??
Any help would be greatly received

main issue is you would compromise the wall holding up you house where you show it, go out the back or side would be a better choice.

There is no issue with compromising the wall it is only a single skin wall designed to hold the garage door, the pic is not to scale and the wall would be around 500mm wide, I cannot go out the back as that is a utility room with a toilet and out the side is into the neighbours garden another no no with gas safe !

If there is 150mm between edge of flue and edge of brickwork fit a plume management kit. Ideal combi 45? What's that?

Ha ha sorry typo error Ideal Logic HE35 Combi boiler, A plume management kit is that Gas safe compliant?

What exactly is an Ideal 45?
Is it condensing? How old is it? It may not be worth/legal to move it.
Where is it now?
How about the utility/airing/loft?

Ok ha ha a flue... Glad to see you all have a sense of humour, the boiler is a Ideal logic 35 brand new with horizontal flue not flume...no water coming out of it...
What is GSR and how can they assist?

a gsr is a gas safe registered engineer who would be fitting the boiler to regulations. and they can assist by doing it right.

I have one but the issue is that they are telling me I cannot put it at the front of the house as it is too close to the garage, I was hoping for a solution, it sounds like the plume management kit maybe the answer, I need to get the GSR back around to ask, he did not suggest using anything just said I could not locate it where I wanted it..

Ah I see, I do have a GSR but he did not suggest any way of overcoming the issue, that is why I thought I would chance my arm and ask on here, it looks like the plume management kit will do the trick I will have to consult him in the morning and ask why he has not suggested this idea....

A gsr is the only way to go. And short of Alby's advice, plume management is the way to go.

Do NOT attempt to fit this yourself!

The utility room window is just as bad to close to flume, the only other option is to put it in the attic, but as per gas safe rules I would then need to have hand rails and access for service etc, plus I would need to run 38mm copper pipe to the boiler and that's about a 20 meter run,

Don't panic gents I do not plan to fit it myself, I am going to use a GSR, I will be using a plume management after the great advice and abuse I have received today lol. Thanks for all your help I get a pic posted once it has been done thanks again..

It's FLUE!! It's 28mm and you probably would not or only a bit if the maths was done.
