I'd ask Transco to check it as it should be properly supported. If you get a leak on the supply it'll be at up to 75mb and you don't want that much gas escaping under your floor!

It's been like that for a while so I reckon they'll turn up to asses then let you know if the work can be done straight away or need to be rebooked. Doubt they'd turn off.

They may drop the pipe, clip it, add a new ECV above floor level.

If you report it they may give you an outside box for free. Just tell them you are doing some work in the solum and the pipe looks badly corroded and is unsupported.
Don't attempt to drop it. That ecv cannot be under the floor even if there was another aecv fitted above.
Btw you need the permission of the MAM if you are repositioning a meter (ie if you use any additional or different fittings) which won't be given as you need to be an OAMI.
