plum ber

Ok so I live in a semi and the neighbours house had this fella's mum living in it for years, she died and they tried to tart it up and sell it. However the work they have had done is cheap and that's it....

The house was meant to be his retirement fund and now he cannot sell it they have rented it out!!! I also have rentals so have no great problem with it and hopefully someone nice will buy it soon and they idiots that've rented it will foxtrot oscar...

Anyhow about 6 weeks ago I thought I could smell GAS so I immediately called Transco, they found nothing on that occasion.....However the plumber who did the "work" for them has been back in excess of ten times!!! This got me thinking and I have concluded either; 1, he is an idiot who has done something major wrong or 2; the present occupiers maybe dealing...??

So this morning I had a knock on the door and it was a Chap from Transco wanting to check our meter box as he had been called by next door after they reported a gas leak! He told me their had been a problem with the fire and this was now issolated, but I am now worried about what the heck has gone on ref the work done.....

So is there anything I could do?? apart from report any Gas smells to transco?? I am worried about this as the Guy who own's the house is tighter than tight! We may have to see them in court to get money they owe us back but that's another story!

Your advise will be both helpfull and interesting!

Lol plum ber your posts are comical, seems like everything's happening your end. Why didnt u do the work since ur only next door?

Not GSR and I don't get on with them since their Son damaged my Mrs's car and they refused to pay for it.....

Karma-What goes around comes around!!

nothing you can do if transco have found and isolated problem, if your really worried phone gas safe and ask them to carry out an inspection on the neighbours house.

( Mr Paranoid - would buy Flamable Gas detectors for any -- shared floor void / attic )

Tollerance may not seem safest option . Try not to escalate to War mode !

Hoping the leak is sorted , so things can settle down .

How did the smell of gas bring you to the conclusion that they where dealing? The daily mail would love that one!

I would prefer a more High brow paper like The Sun LOL

Just thought why is the original plumber coming back so often???

Does'nt take a genius to see someone smoking some smelly baccy and have thoughts!?!?!? then you see people hanging around (never happened before they moved inn) So they may be they may not be but TBH they have quitened down a bit and the swearing has stopped albeit in that I can not hear it so I don't really care....Karma has a way of sorting life out!!!
