Gas safe registration

I am on my firms gas safe registration. If someone asks me to cap a gas pipe off going to a fire. Would I need to have my own gas safe registration for this?

Unless it is for your employer/firm you would have to have your own registration to do any kind of gas work.

Partly insurance but mainly because 'you' are not a gas safe registered engineer in your own right are you?
