Posted other day about a Keston C36 that a landlord has got on a property he has just bought. He has kept previous tenants in and the tenants have said the boiler has broke down several times over the last year. New owner has asked my opinion so i told him that its a nail however he has posted me this from previous owner :-
From previous owner...
"...The boiler has only had 1 previous problem in 3 years! Signs of an excellent and fully competent boiler. No ongoing or intermittent problems. Good working order as stated. The only previous issue was when the fan unit was replaced for the current tenants. I only found out about the current issue of 'no hot water' on the 19th of October. I attended immediately as I always did and resolved a simple issue of 'no hot water' until there was again hot water. Central heating always worked indicating a one-off problem.
If there is a problem now with no hot water but still central heating there are a few forums on the internet reference a problem with diverter valve/capacitor for Keston C36. Very cheap parts and easy to replace. This wasn't necessary before completion as it was working. As confirmed by tenants. The boiler was and always has been in good working condition and fit for purpose as stated. I would recommend contact with a Keston engineer, they often have a free call out charge and will give a very fair diagnosis..."
What a glowing report !!!!!
