LPG fuel - heat only boiler

Faulty gas valve, changed for new.

Only 6 rads on the system, literally takes around 2mins for radiators to be bouncing! Insane!
Setting up the gas valve is a nightmare, need 10.5% - 0.004 ratio
However to achieve this im getting easily over 800PPM... Which is so unsafe...
Rang glow worm up about 10 times, all they say is to reset the gas valve (7/10 gave me reset for NAT GAS when i told them its lpg) they are confused and have no answer why PPM is so high aswell! Absolute useless!
There is no cracks in the burner however when it gets high PPM, the fan is going super speed lol any views???

set your fga to lpg ? service potentiometer set to correct position to set up co2?, fan should be running smin speed when you do this!

Most times when setting up a new gas valve you'll get high figures. That boiler is obviously way too big for the property, which isn't helping you. If the ppm is that high though I'd try turning the adjustment down half a turn before putting your fga in the test point. Make sure you're running it in the service mode too.

been there mate spent ages setting an lpg boiler to realise analyser was on ng. I hate setting glowworm gas valves and the baxi 105 ones

Thats it tho, on MI it tells you to turn heating dial and press the '+' button however there is no '+' button, ring glow worm, they dont have a clue, just keep telling me to reset the gas valve lol only display it has is the on and off dial and central heating temp dial which an't digital. Theres no way i can get it that high of 10.5% im going to set it to less than 200ppm and try to get it close... Heap of junk glow worms and technical dont have a clue what their talking about!

Run off DHW at same time lock open zv so dumping to DHW or open filling loop and doc ! Old GV may have chummed boiler . Have you stripped and checked combustion and flue

which model hxi the older ones with lcd black and white display you have to put into service mode with a pot on the board. newer ones you use the mode and plus

Its on a open vented system ermintude, so only running DHW will let me reach enough time for readings since it absolute beasts the heating. Yeah ive checked inside, the boiler is less than 4yr old aswell.
Buckley - it isnt any other model apart from 30HXI the only digital display is the temperature (just like a baxi duo tec) what a faff on it sounds to put it in service mode.
Am i right in being worried about the high rise in PPM regarding setting up this gas valve? Glow worm tells me not to be worried as its room sealed appliance and only the ratio matters majority.
Btw i have put a co2 alarm next to the boiler as belting braces

I called glowworm out to one as I was not sure if it was a gas valve or fan fault - they ended up replacing both . they do a fixed call out for £260 I use this sometimes it saves me from stressing

is this a condensing one?? check the condense pipe from hex to condense trap....have known these to split so co2 could be re-circulating round boiler when case is on.

Yeah its a condensing heat only boiler. Ive cleaned condensate trap as hose was split aswell when i carried out repair. Buckley i cant find a way how to get it in service mode, im going to visit it tomorrow, going to make sure PPM is below 200, it has a co2 alarm so i will be able to sleep at night, glow worms suck, and the tech dont know what their talking about... Joke of a boiler!

Also the plastic flue collector behind the heat exchanger are good for cracking and meting you'd see signs of rust down the back of the boiler normally.

Russ at glowworm tech is **** hot. Ask for him.
Check the gas valve to fan connection is tight. If its not you can get high CO. Also drop down the panel and turn the bottom pot (as you look at the panel in the down position) fully clockwise for max rate and 3 o clock for min rate. Its a balancing act.....
CO can be as high as 250ppm on ecotecs so may be the same on glowworms

Tbh i must be in the minority cus ive had some really good off the wall tips from there tech in the past.
