Hi All,

I have just been to look at a fault on Halstead Eden CBX 24. Boiler is not igniting and is show lights on the 2 even leds. According to MIs fault finding this is a defective sensor/no flame issue. Sensors changed but no difference. Tried to call Halsted/Glen Dimplex on various numbers (at 80p per minute) only to be transferred to a dead line!
Not sure what has gone on previously but the boiler is in poor condition and plastic elbows all over the pipe work under neath the boiler (not the gas though)
Has anyone got any ideas other than a new PCB or a number for the above that works?
My thoughts is to replace the boiler but would like to find out what is causing the issue regardless.
Regards

Glen dimplex have no idea and are no help, especially at 80p minute, pcb's not readily available, boiler is a piece of tat, replace it.

I ve had a mare with one of these recently too. The condense pipe was split and then condense connector was snapped as well. Changing the parts was a nice job, getting the parts an absolute nightmare, took weeks to finally get the right parts from merchants, wrong parts turned up in bags from halstead with the correct part number on. Wish I'd never set eyes on the thing!

Not looking good for after sales on these boilers is it, as long as they have been installed correctly.

Got called back today. They cant afford a new boiler but said get it repaired. As I was there the engineer that replaced the diverter valve last week was trying to get his money! I had quoted a new board yesterday and asked for the money upfront and they said they would send a cheque but to get on with it! Lucky escape on this job I think.
Thanks for the wisdom.
