brought a pcb for a halstead best 75, it comes with a new wiring kit as well so not just a straight swap, anyway, job was an hour away, drove there to change part, read through instructions, got half way down the page and realised the pcb cant be fitted without the new electrodes and guess what... they dont come in the kit! so after spending an hour at the job and confirming this with technical, i drove back (another hour) and wasted most of the morning, irate customer because the boiler is still not working and now the price of the job that was quoted has also gone up, it means another visit and more time wasted. Cant get over what some of these manufacturers get away with. Why would you supply a part that you cant fit without another part? or at least say you may need new electrodes with it.
Had another one the other day from glenden dimplex/halstead, went to fit fan, new one didnt come with a backplate and the old one was riveted. I didn't have a rivet gun so i had to pay brandon tools £20 to drill out and replace rivets to fit to new backplate.
I no ive gone on a bit but it realy annoys me how they can sell what they like for over inflated prices and rubish service.
