got fed up with the claims company's ringing and asking if I had ppi. I honestly thought I had been careful in the past to never take out Indurance on any loan etc.
a few weeks ago one rang me and the guy was very polite on the phone, he said have you ever had an overdraft? I have had one in the past on my personal account. So they said they would check if I was paying any ppi.

just got a letter to say £5021.0 will be credited to my account

they went back to 1998 .

Barclays are paying directly. I have to pay the claims company 24% out of that. Maybe I could have done it myself. But honestly, I wouldn't have bothered.
Even with paying the claims company, there's still a good chunk.

Right that's it...I started filling in my PPI form in sepetember but got bored and left it. I'm going to have another go tonight, right after I watch a film.

Probably was 10 years ago!!
It's not calculated on how much you were overdrawn. It's a charge that the bank take out of your account to cover themselves if you don't pay your overdraft.
Mine was in one of those packaged bank accounts that you pay a monthly fee.
I was not told of this, or wanted it. As I'm self employed I wouldn't have been able yo claim the insurance protection anyway.

The banks aparently have to tell you if you are owed money. How fast they pay is anybodys guess lol

The banks were lobbying for a cut off date, haven`t seen or heard anything more about it though.

friend of mine got written to by his bank, sent a questionnaire, he answered it based on google advice, just copped a similar amount from the bank direct, jammy sod.

oh i really need to sort my PPI claim out i know i should be due some cash but being arsed to do it is another thing.

thanks chalked you may the kick up the botty i need.
