Hi this problem first occurred a few weeks ago, ill try and make it as clear as possible, any help appreciated.
The first thing that i noticed was that the CH heating was on even though it was in summer mode. The boiler wouldnt turn off even switching to off, last resort swithced the electric off to it.

On checking the boiler the following morning the DHW light flashing red and would not ignite flame. After waiting a week for basic boiler cover insurance to come out decide to give one of the trades on site for advice. He came over and within 2 mins of taking off the covers and checking connections to the various censors the bottom sensor i believe to be "overheat sensor" or "overheat stat" D003200397 on checking these two small white connectors the boiler fired up when he let go the light went out. This now would make sense as it was overheating the night before so he advised to replace this part. In the manual this part was as listed above.

While waiting for a replacement part the insurance happened to call out and change the DHW sensor as this was the one flashing on the front panel and showing up as the error. he "failed" to get the boiler firing up even after an hr, so he prescribed the PCB was at fault. I was out on a job and was not their when he first arrived so told him over the phone to check the "overheat sensor" even though this light was not flashing. He call back with 15 mins and problem sorted it was a loose wire to this and said boiler was now back up and running. 2 days later heard a bang like a fuse or a a bulb blowing. The CH was switched on prior to this. checked the boiler "flashing CH" light again. I took the cover off checked the connections on the "overheat stat" as i was touching them the boiler started up flashing light went out boiler ok again at least for another day. Woke up one morning the boiler flashing again. Messed with the same wires again fired up let go of wires flashing light again did this about 5 times ended up with the actual flashing error light "overheat sensor" turned boiler off/on by main power, error light reverted back to CH flashing red. tried the usual tricks but never fired back up again. The sensor i ordered arrived next day changed this but has never fired up?

Tried to make it short but thats the full explanation and would really appreciate some help/advice to resolve this issue..

thanks for reading.

Craig

Sorry to say heatline are not known for there good quality manufacturing, I would not spend a lot of money on it.The parts for this manufacturer are blumin expensive to say the least.I have found in the past that you fix one part for the phone to ringing in a week and it's packed up again.I would consider a boiler change although most of us are a bit cash straped at the moment it may be money beter spent.

So if my 4yr old Renault Megane doesn't start due to a possible faults, ie no fuel, glo plugs, no oil, flat battery i should maybe think about buying a Merc or BMW? I know these are far better than my car but surely you dont right it off !
especially if ive fired up the boiler with limited knowledge.

I wont look into buying a £10 sensor then ill put it towards a £40k hard top merc

Basically i NEED this boiler working its been faultless before now. In in the process of trying to stop my ex from selling my house and my private plate and i am F%£&ed off with a cold house so for the time been i will just hold back on the Worcester Bosch and look for a more sensible solution.

Not to offend you but thanks for reading and your reply in the first place

why not a get a gas safe registered engineer to look at it who knows they might even fix it.

if you have boiler insurance use it. if they are taking an age and a day to fix it complain about it.

false economy trying to fix it yourself without the knowledge a good gsr has.
it is also illegal and dangerous however competent you think you are.

as in most cases you will end making the matter worse and costing you a lot more.

heatline are rubbish unreliable hunks of junk work ok for a few years then start to fail frequently. better economy to replace it in the long run. or you can justkeep paying to have it fixed.
also using the analagy of cars doesnt really apply as the difference in cost is few hundred quid not tens of thousands

also limited knowledge can kill. you wouldnt expect a person with limited knowledge of flying, to then go and fly a jumbo jet because he would most likely kill everyone on board. but you seem happy with your limited knowledge to mess around with a boiler that burns highly combustible gas.
it was a only a few months ago that houses were flattened and a little boy died.
