So, got a lot of water leaking from my boiler. (Old Worcester 28CDI)

Looking underneath it appears to be from the isolation valve (at the point where you close or open it)

I've switched off my water supply, and turned off the heating for now as I'm about to go to bed.

Question is, is this something I can fix myself (turning the screw part)?

The part highlighted in red feels very loose.

So is the current one unfixable?

Wantes to avoid having spend money on this/call sometime out to fix it as I'm getting the boiler replaced in a week's time. Just wanted to get it up and running for that short time

Try turning it on/off a few times but chances are slim.
Just put a bucket under for a week?

Looks like I'll have to go for the bucket option. Tried bluetack and the water still gets through (was a bit too awkward of an area to wrap the tape around).

Will just grab a couple of electric heaters and wait it out until next week
