Hi all. Our Salamander pump is leaking, and is way out of warranty. I have read this is a common problem and have decided to replace it with a "better" brand of whole house pump. A further issue is that I do not think the correct pump was installed in the first place so want to choose a new one from first principals. I have attached an image showing the setup i can see in the cylinder / pump area (in diagrammatic form) in hope someone could help me out with this? I dont know how the pipes i see in the cylinder / pump area connect relative to others in the house.

Thanks

You need a negative head pump that's wheat the small expansion tank is for
Should of had one integrated on pump as I don't think your pump was a negative head pump
As said on other posted get a Stuart turner monsoon pump
(negative head one from whats in your diagram)

Thanks. If i get that one, would i need to remove the small expansion tank or just leave it in line? Also, as i said on the other post, would a 3.0 bar seem ok? can you ever have too much pressure?
Cheers,

Sue

Yes, negative head Stuart & Turner needed. The pipework will be same as any pump, but take care to read through the pump instructions. The hot water to the pump should not be too hot & should be relatively air free.
