How are we all ?

im looking to learn a trade while I've still got time on my side
im 33 years old and have decided to pursue an adult apprenticeship
as this seems like the only proper way to gain the needed qualifications
to become a plumber

ive read up on all these courses that are on offer out there but I'd rather get on the job
Experiance as well as college time

basically I'm on here to see if there's any advice I can pick up from anyone
that could maybe help me along the way
ive registered with the CITB and passed the CSCS health and safety test
so now I just have to find an employer who would be willing to give me a shot
but most who I've spoken too lose interest when i tell them my age
ive also been told that due to my age I would only have to do a two year apprenticeship
so really I'm just looking for somone to put me through it, they can pay me off at the end of it if they wanted

any advice would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance

welcome along.

It will be an uphill struggle, but if you put the effort in it can pay off.
try asking everyone local to you.
and stick around, plenty of knowledge to benefit from here.

Welcome Rallan. Hope you find someone. Only advice I can give is: don't insist on getting paid. If you can do say 2 or 3 days per week just to get experience, it will benefit you. If the person training you realise they're benefitting from your contribution, they will only be too willing to pay for your time.
Good luck and all the best.
