Hi, I have only just found this site which I could have done with ages ago. Anyway im 21 and live in Essex and currently work as a labourer in the London area. I was previously employed by a small company in Brentwood called Timmins Property Services, which unfortunately recently went insolvent due to the credit crunch 🙁 meaning I lost my full apprenticeship in Plumbing. I have about 9 months on site and domestic experience and have gained a bit of knowledge along the way. I have just started my Level 2 and have decided to fund my own college course as I want to carry plumbing on as my career choice as its something im enthusiastic about and really enjoy and also miss. My college is starting to ask for my on site assessment arrangements which I now cant provide. My introduction is more of a help plea really. I have tried the small commercial companies down to all the small local business' in the area. It seems the bigger companies don't want to know, and always seem to leave you hanging. Just wanted to know if anyone could assist in any way possible? Any advice would be appreciated, any company names contact details would be excellent if you can help? Even better i'm willing to work for peanuts etc as long as I can get my on site assessments passed off. All i'm asking for is a chance really, I don't want to have to give this up after coming this far, and passing all my theory exams. I have my own means of transport, with a full clean driving license of 4 years. I'm willing to travel by train to London etc. I have my own tools and power tools, im not asking for any funding at all. Anyway thanks for reading and if you can help then its highly appreciated.
