I have a broken stop tap it is internal and broken Five plumbers confirmed that it cannot be replaced as the whole of the system is 1930s lead the house is a semi from that time so I have no way to turn off water save at the street. Any ideas?

Check with your water supplier. They may have 'Lead pipe replacement scheme' grants available to help with the cost of replacement.
