Ideal+Combi, 7 year warranty, are they any good?

Hi, we are Viessmann trained installers and normally recommend them for obvious reasons, I have quoted for a job and the landlord has come back to me asking about Ideal boilers as he has heard about a 7 year warranty being offered by them. I have only ever worked on older Ideal boilers so I have absolutely no knowledge of how good or bad the new ones are. So I am looking for some feed back from all you Ideal installers.

The 7 year warranty only covers selected parts which they wont tell you , also have been starting to hear the pcb is showing issues ( prob not covered on 7 year)
To fit tho a doddle ,light and quick installation

iv only recently converted over to ideal, done 4 of these, like installing them, nice and light, easy to use, easy to add wireless stats etc, good to install! and with a 7 year warranty its winning u work

Only as good as the system they're fitted to I'd say! Like any manufacturers warranty 🙂

Ideal Seems good now that the Worcester Cdi 5 year offer has finished .

Installed my twenty third last week, early days but only ever had I issue.

2010 installed a 30HE in a garage, lagged everything, frost and pipe stats. Customers son fitted a B&Q outside tap kit, removed lagging to access cold supply and didn't replace it.

Expanding ice damaged plate heat ex, once thawed water damaged diverter valve actuator and water pressure switch.

Ideal bloke attended, stated that damage was caused by customer error not manufacturer but replaced all damaged parts anyway, 'I'm here and I've got the bits in the van'

Me and the customer were both chuffed.
