Funny reading this cos I did one today same problem LF failure, checked all usuals then found the wiring from the flame rectification probe back to the molex connector was brittle and disintegrated. Replaced, job done !!

The flame rectification lead will be a problem now, they are getting to that age. They also start to display another error code which means flame rectification fault. I've not had the harness fail but have had numerous other faults that are common. Blocked condense trap and pipework is the most common. Followed closely by the ignition and flame electrodes. Although the insulation pads pins are an issue, they rarely get to the stage of falling in. They do need to be checked and replaced though in any case.
