Ideal Logic 30 problem (Yeah really!).

Hi all, just after some advice with regard to an Ideal Logic 30 combi. It was installed in my Mother in law's flat by Warmfront, I think around March 2011,so obviously it's out of any warranties etc. It's never been a particularly good Boiler, but now it's behaving very badly. The heating side seems OK, but the Hot water is running very slowly & making a loud water hammer noise when the basin tap is used, & a high pitched squeal when the shower is used. I popped 'round for a look today & couldn't get any Hot water from either the basin tap or the shower until I'd run the sink tap for a while, which was sluggish, but eventually got hot. I just wondered if this is a known fault, & could anyone recommend somebody in the Macclesfield (Cheshire) area who is competent to fix it. Thanks in advance for any help/advice etc.

Sounds like the 'flow switch' scaling up.You'll need an engineer to sort it.

Won't get any advise on gas appliances as your not gas safe. Best call ideal and get a fixed price repair!!

Sounds like a typical warmfront install.

Is it just the basin tap? It may be a problem with just the tap and have nothing to do with the boiler, I would check that first.
