Hi,

I noticed some dripping from my boiler today and upon investigation I can see that it has been leaking around the siphon trap holes at the bottom of the boiler. I took the front off and the siphon which was quite dirty with some greyish grit in the 'sump like plug' at the bottom. After a good clean and replacing siphon it still seems to be leaking. From what I can guess it seems to be maybe backing up the condenser pipe as the water is originating at the bottom of the siphon.

Does anyone have any ideas on what to do? I did notice the pressure was quite low so put this back to 1.5 bar.

Knowing them like I do , I have a good idea what it is , a relatively quick fix but as Shaun says, you need a gas safe guy in there , sorry .

I'm afraid that's as far as we can go with this thread.

If any boys are local to you, they'll be able to contact you via pm.
