So I was sent to change a plate heat exchanger on a greenstar 30si today

Look at the manual last night to see how to do it - which stated I had to remove the hydraulic block :/

So there I was, removing clips and pipes, tried to release the plastic seat from the prv and it wouldn't budge! In the end had to call my boss for some advice as I was thinking either trying to remove the clip from the prv which there was 2 hopes, or taking the boiler off the wall - he goes:

Why you removing the hydraulics?
Cos the manual said I had to
I've never removed the hydraulics. Just undo the screws to the plate, let it drop and feed it out between the pipes.

So after I put all the pipes and clips back together and repaired the leaks I'd created, removing the exchanger took me all of half an hour.

Total time on job: 3 hours.
Time wasted: 2.5 hours.

It's all experience lol
