Gledhill specialised in thermal stores, but somehow managed to turn a simple cylinder into over complicated rocket science!Seen loads of Electromate relays melt and burn, and as for the Boilermate, what a piece of junk!Still keep fixing em,though.
I refuse point blank to do anything above 10th floor without an apprentice if the lift is out!Went to reseal a bath on the 8th last week on my todd, got up the stairs and realised I'd left my Bedec formers in the van.Made it back up and half way through removing the old silicone,I bust my snap off stanley blade.Guess where my new ones were?In the sodding van.I honestly thought I was going to die!I've had 2 minor heart attacks, and nearly had a third that day.

burnt relays sounds like the boilermate 2000 to me found many of them in that state but only the ones running electric only the ones connected to a boiler (usually a suprima):nonod: dont seem to suffer the same problem. also find with the 2000 that due to the amount of insulation they are wrapped in they sweat and rot! have removed so many of these now (around 20 or so) due to this fault and belive me they are not light!!

...And then there is the boilermate 3 dont get me started on these little nasties!!

Having said that if they werent terrible i wouldnt have had all that work and and might have found myself changing a pan connector...

Yep, thinking back they were the 2000's. Take the front cover off and the relays are sitting there staring you in the face.
