So i bought a Johnson Magnetic filter.

We were installing a new central heating system so thought i would give one a whirl. We fitted the 220 model.
first impression out of the box was that it was very well built.all metal construction the centre covered in black plastic is copper. With the magnet inside it.

it was very easy and quick to fit.
As this was a totally new system i cant comment on its ability to attract/ catch magnetite but the magnet seems pretty strong if a liitle thin.
But what i can say it is solid in construction and is all metal.
It has a good set of isolation valves and a point for draining but the draining point could be tricky to not get water everywhere as the outlet is very close to the valve body.

a downside is that you are unable to dose with inhibitor.

not a bad filter though it may be hard compete with more established brands it probs need to be 10 - 20 quid cheaper to compensate for not being able to dose with inhibitor.

I guess even if they supplied a rad nipple we could dose with a kamco injector
