Hi All!

I'm wondering if you might be able to help me... my kitchen tap has started dripping, just enough to annoy me. Plus I'm on a meter. So I would like to fix it.

Problem is, I finaly worked out how to take the tap apart and it doesn't look like any tap I've fixed before...

Rather than havign the usual washer that the tap scres in and out of place, it has a plastic channel through which the water flows when the tap is turned. So how do I fix the drip?

It's a dual-lever traditional style tap, and I have attached a photo of the inner workings.

thank you for any help
Joe

i'm guessing it is quarter turn? the plastic bit will be more than likely ceramic

job one is to find the manufacturer of the tap and get a new ceramic disc valve off them

if you cannot find the manufacturer then you need to buy a new tap, get one with a decent guarantee from known brand
