Hi Guys, first post from newly qualified engineer out on his own.
Have just completed Landlord inspection and obviously being new have covered everything and a bit more. Question is this: Is a FGA check mandatory for Landlord report. Alpha CB24x, brass screw for FGA check is seized solid. Flame picture, working pressure, burner pressure and gas rate are all spot on, no access to flue as three storeys up.Don't really want to start chapping away at screw.Have tried all usual release fluids etc but it won't budge. Are above checks enough on their own or do I need to get access for FGA check.
Thanks in anticipation

what if the gas rate indicated it was slightly over the kw, but cpa was fine
youve proved its safe, but can the cpa over ride a gas rate check

so many engineers dont bother with gas rate on boilers, but as i'm new i've been doing both

do all you can and put results on paperwork and get a signature. at least then you have shown yourself to be competent and covered your own back. because if it goes belly up you are the one that gets knackered if you cant prove what you have done
