I have, started in Sept 2008, done H&S, P Principles, P Process, Cold Water and Hot Water and passed my exams first time, only one in my class to do so, really enjoying it, 90% of students are school leavers and don't care about the course and are basically not interested, from about 40-50 students I have spoken to or met on the course only 5-6 that are interested.

The class time is great roughly 12 to class but the workshop can get crowed 30 between 2-3 tutors but you have just to learn fast and try, most lads just sit around pretending to do write ups.

I am thinking of doing Level 3 at the college, I would recommend anybody to enquire at there local college.

I did IT when I was younger and wasted my opportunity but I aint going to waste this opportunity,.

Have been interviewed and have been accepted for the Level 1 plumbing course. Starting in September I think. Currently in my last couple of months at school and really looking forward to it.

Can anyone suggest what I should be looking out for in particular on the level 1 course? Something that will definately come up in the exams?

i did an ASET course before doing C&G 6129 and i really enjoyed that so i decided to go on to the C&G 6129 but im really struggling with the exams as im finding the questions i'm getting aren't being covered in the lessons they are following the criteria they have been given by C&G but still there is no actual explanation for some of the questions in any books i've got.... is anyone else having this problem?

just revise a lot i aced the level 1 course (if its the ASET your doing?) its quite easy to pick up get yourself the JTL level 2 book and you should be fine you might find if you get the JTL revision book too it will so much more coz they explain things differently and you get questions at the end of each section which come up in the exams hope this helps 🙂

thats ok if you want anymore help then just gimme a shout i'll happily help you i know how difficult i found it...... one tip is try and get your cloakroom assessment and guttering done as soon as your alowed like with in the first few months after health and safety and abit of copper get used to soldering and machine bending first tho and get straight on them coz the cloakroom is so easy but looks difficult and you think when you see it 'nope dont want to do it' but when you have its really simple and get someone to talk you through guttering at your college and get it done quickly these are the two everyone is scared and at the end of the year there is a rush to do them and you don't really get the chance

(plus if your abit egar to go for the big things first the tutors will be impressed and probably reward you at the end of the year)
