Loss of Pressure 0.7Bar Overnight

Hi Have sealed combi system. Drained and put in some cleaner last week. Ran for a week then flushed twice and put in inhibitor. Recharged system and lost 0.7Bar overnight with system not running. Had a slight pressure drop issue for years requiring a top up every month or so but thought it was a leaky valve which I fixed last weekend when system was empty.

Read a few things and dropped pressure to zero and checked that expansion tank pressure was Ok. Pumped up to 0.7Bar with bicycle pump so thought that might help but still losing pressure when nothing on. Then checked condensate drain and plastic tub filled up after about an hour with nothing running. Found a few mentions of potential issue with heat exchanger but nothing specific.

does anyone have any thoughts of things I could check before calling out company we have cover with? Just wanted to make sure its nothing obvious that I could do easily.

If you have a sealed system, you could check all the radiator valves, vents and drain offs for leaks or slight weeping. You also could check the pressure relief pipe outside your property if it's dry or wet. When wet then you have an issue with the boiler which means you will need a gas safe engineer to solve the issue.

I wont encourage you to go into your boiler but I doubt you checked the expansion vessel correctly, definitely call out your insurance company , its what you pay them for .

Call out your insurance company and let them worry about it, that sounds like a big bill from what you say

This is your boiler's way of telling you it needs to be seen by a plumber, specifically a Gas Safe Registered one with a good bedside manner.

Sounds like a leaking heat exchanger to me, definitely get a GSR plumber in.

Get them out bud as you have cover , you could try turning off the isolating valves on the boiler over night and monitor if theres a pressure drop on the boiler side or system side isolate the power supply if you do this regards kop

Did you drain it down via the pressure relief valve? Sometimes they fail to seal properly after some debris from the system water gets deposited on the washer/seal.
