Hello, hope i am posting this in the correct forum, first post too please be kind!

Hi can anyone help, i'm of the understanding that manf instructions over rule regs. Gazco require a hearth on a gas letterbox style fire of 100mm depth, 150mm either side of fire minimum of 50mm. Can you tell me of any company who will allow me to put wood flooring up to the wall. Plan to put fire approx 400mm above ffl. Can anyone tell me a company who don't require a hearth.

Second im trying to find a duplex open (no glass) LPG fire using stainless steel flue to roof any recommendations would be appreciated, finding it really difficult so far.

Thanking you in advance.

Don't think you'll find any that recommends fitting wood (combustable material) directly under a gas fire
Iirc laminate floor isn't (or wasn't) classed as combustable and can be used
But as always, manufacterers guidelines are god
