Hi, just attended a Microgeneius 24 MFFI.

Boiler lights, but electrodes still spark for about 20, even thought burner is lit. The the boiler locks out indicating failed ignition.

I think it is the flame sensing device, or the mother board.

Also customer says the time seems to work intermittently? New timer or new mother board?

any hints or suggestion are welcome.

thanks

pcb has failed,a common fault on this boiler not seeing detection but you must rule out electrode and lead first by doing a continuity test,in regards to the timer see what transpires when you replace the pcb

does sound like pcb, when you fit new move electrode and flame sensing probe further apart to stop happening again

As said the intermittent clock problem could be a fault elsewhere on the boiler, clock operating correctly but boiler not working
