Need help with Douglas James One Valve shower

I am having major problems in getting the shower controls off a Douglas James One Valve, the problem is lime scale has got under the shower control that turns the shower on. The location of the property is Colchester which is a hard water area. I have tried to drill out the grub screws etc but still no joy. Can anyone help with this problem:frown:

Yes, they sent a four page PDF on how to install the new parts, but i explained to them thats all well and good but i can't get the faulty parts off, they then said they are suppliers and dont have installtion plumbers on their books. I have tried Persimon homes who were the house buliders, but they do not keep and reccords of suppliers after 6 years, there answer was to ring round plumbers in the colchester area hoping one of them have fitted Douglas James One Valuve showers :38:

that's not very good customer service. what about something like limescale remover, or soak it in vinegar to dissolve the limescale.
