Nice one, now make a note of their number and never answer it again :cowboy:

No just remember about it for next time. They get charged more or 1st thing you do is check the cold feed and vent.

My guess is that it will be piped up how they used to do gravity fed, a quick repipe will stop it pumping over and make it fill a lot easier.

A few years back I went to a property and changed a 3 port valve went to fill and it was a right pain in the rear and would hardly fill at all. The customer said last time someone drained it it took 5 hours and they left it and 3 days later it righted itself so they wanted a fixed price to repair it. After 2 hours I got fed up and said to the woman I will give you 2 options no1 I will leave it and if it doesn't sort itself I will come back or no2 I will repipe the cold feed and vent for x amount more, a bit of huffing and puffing from the customer about it costing more than we priced for to which I replied you knew there was a problem so I have given you an option to repair the fault no worries for future use, after explaining over the phone to the old man he said yeah do it. 45 minutes later I left the property with all the rads piping hot.

Cold feed takes up the expansion so is apart of the safety device? so blocked cold feed relies on secondary safety device, the open vent?
