had the full trials and stress of plumbing today proper head do-er
have been doing the slowest new build ever for a cust who has been a pain from the start and the whole job has been a nuisance been going on for about 18 months every trade has been one step forward two back
well today i turned up as basically the job is now finished full re plumb so gone for last check over and to see if cust is happy
as im chatting to cust in utility room the cust telling me how chuffed they are to be finally done i can hear a constant ssshhhhh from watewr main which draws my attention to the constant on / off of the boiler.
off i toddle around house all taps are off no patches on the ceiling or walls.
outside i go check water meter its spinning a treat , now im concerned as its all finished flooring down and pipes on ground floor underneath them.
now its the nightmare of floor up time laminate/vinyl and carpet trying to locate this leak, cust its narked right off
builder is stressed im stressed starting to think its going to be on my insurance as its starting to get out of hand
30 mins later find it and its a bloody polyplumb fitting , its been tested on first fix at 18 bar has been sat under mains pressure for 4 months and the day i goto hand over it bloody leaks .
fitting was pushed on fine was a scratch in pipe i had missed when installing causing it eventually to flood out
dont plumbing do your head in !!!!
