Recently drained the CH system to fit new rad valves, yet to fill up but now no HW. Whats the reason guys? The boiler is firing up but sounds different Thanks in advance

😱😱😱 if i was you i would quickly turn that boiler off the reason being if your still yet to fill up theres no water on the sytem ??

The same water that heats the radiators up, heats the hot water
Therefore as danielp says turn all off until you refill radiators, hopefully you have not caused any damage to heat exchanger or pump 🙁
If you have an immersion heater you can use that with rads empty
Nzmanc,I do appreciate your persistence in the plumbing field, but after checking your posts, maybe better if you ask before you do for a while 😱

yeah sorry blonde moment, rads use same water as the coil. I have had the boiler on, just gotta hope when I refill theres no lasting damage

The systems been on a couple of hrs without water. Do you think the pump/HE will be OK?
