went to do a lgsc on friday, empty house letting agents i do a lot for taken on a new landlord, gets to the property after picking up the keys and i carry out a tightness which fails goes to ilfe fire and i can smell gas so i isolate and re test leak gone in addition to this the install is ar anyway wooden surround only 3 inches above the fire and the flues full of lint,so i make out a notice to advise of the situation, moves on to the boiler a ravenheat little star cleaned it in the normal way then put the fga into the flue and co goes off the scale, confirms this by taken working pressure which is 15mb not 12 mb so this is the cause of the high co reading i try to adjust the pressure via the potentiometer on the pcb no effect at all,no other obvious adjustment (no modureg on the gas valve) so make that safe and issue a report as well, checks the mi,s on line and there is modureg shown but theres not one fitted to this boiler, rings ravenheap about as helpfull as a cold cup of pee so i plan on going back there today and taking gas valve number to see if i can identify it on the weekend another rgi goes there via l/lord and passes the lot,i am shocked and annoyed makes me look bad but i have done my job properly fire was ID and the boiler was over gassing so again ID this has really ****ed me off

Words fail me Mark! You're spot on and then this other comedian comes along. Is the LL taking the mickey? Can you get in contact with the Letting Agents and let them know?

Kick off mate, before someone gets killed!

i have told the letting agent they are going to blow the ll out,but if the other rgi has signed it off? might take gas safes advice

yes letting agent picks up my bill, they are going to tell me who serviced it when they get the lgsc, letting agent now wont put there tenants in there so the prat of a landlords lost out, they just have not told him yet

its a pain, i would ring gs just to see were you stand, and i would file the lgsc,
its on the other gas enigeers toes if anything happens.
i go to boiler breakdowns for landlords ,dont tell them exactley whats wrong ,because as soon as i give a price they are straight on phone to get a price for the fault ,i could of took an hour trying to suss.so i bet hes got another engineer and got him to put it right
