Hi there,

I completed my tech cert back in '06 and my onsite nvq2 folder was virtually complete am I too late to get it assessed now? Will I have to re-do my on-site folder? Any ideas how much this may cost?

Many thanks...

hi bud,
i believe it is valid for 5 years, i spoke to my college assesor only 8 hours ago and sure he said that.
costs slightly vary depeding where you go, generally £80-200, dont expect to pass first time though.

it is valid for 5 years from C&G but a college would have to enrol you each year, there would be a fee each year unless they broke it down

nah, bit like a driving test.
if they want to be awqurd cos you forgot your boots say, they can fail you.
they make more gov'mt cash that way. that was what they told me.
a prat can go to college but dont give em a right to pass by being a iprck, does it?.

Thats great news, thanks for your help guys! Been trying to get in touch with the college for over a week now, they must be on holiday or something?

it is impossible to fail an onsite assessment! the NVQ is competence based, the assessor judges what he see's, once he has seen all the evidence he needs the onsite assessing bt is done, it may be 4 visits it may be 8 but you wouldnt "fail" as you put it especially for not wearing boots!
