Old Style dual flush - short flush - press and release WANTED

The old Dudley type - long flush press and hold, short flush press and release.

I can't get one anywhere they all seem to be the opposite way around - stand there holding the lever and looking into space for the short flush ! (which we all do more often) and press and run off for full flush ! Presumably this is so that the default mode is a full flush. Well I would not mind too much but the 1980's Stelrad Doulton suites I fitted at that time both have very nice lables on them to the effect that press and release is a short flush ! About 15 years ago I replaced one of them with a single acting flush intending to repair the dual flush I took out, but somehow I threw it away ! Fool - yes I know. Now I can't get a replacement and I don't want one toilet in the house short flush press and hold and the other press and release !

So a very kind request please. If any of you professional plumbers are removing an old style Dudley (mine are branded on the top of the plastic moulding "Stelrad Doulton", but others were I believe more commonly branded "Dudley") dual flush to fit a nice new one, please contact me and I would be willing to purchase the old one, even if it is not working.

It is the replacement single action unit I want to replace, but I can only purchase dual action syphons that have press and hold as the short flush. I need an old style press and release short flush to (repair? )and fit

Macdee Motion adjustable flush siphon works with full flush if you hold the flush handle down and the half flush works if you let the handle up.
I don’t particularly like it, but it does operate the way you want and is compact to suit any cistern.
If your old syphon is in good order I would just repair it

Fitted to day and works a treat. Many thanks that was exactly what I wanted.

Frustrated on obtaining a coupling kit. When I fitted the "wrong" flush, I fitted a new one. In 10 years it had rusted through again, like the previous one and the latest one I purchased was made of thinner steel than the one that lasted 10 years. I could not find a stainless close coupling kit withstainless bolts anywhere. I have ordered up some 2 mm plate and stainless coach bolts and wing nuts and will make myself one. I don't fancy replacing it again in my 70's !

Hope the new siphon lasts well.

The close coupling kits you now mention can vary in quality and there are still some about of reasonably strong metal plate.
I fit a large nylon washer between plate and cistern to avoid it rusting and also coat the plate in something that prevents rust. Silicone grease or similar. If there is a slight weep at siphon joint, the c.c. plate below will always rust badly.
