old/used water meters

Would anyone know of anywhere i could locate some old or used water meters. i am doing a research project and i need as many different makes and models as possible.

i am able to come and collect the meters if they are suitable for what i require.

Contact your local water authority engineering department.

Look for private water supply and borehole companies as they fit meters as you need to notify quanitites abstracted to the Environment Agency if you have a borehole.
