Looks like the soil pipe seal has gone on this and is leaking on the bathroom floor. Problem is the whole cistern is tiled in and there's no way to access the pan from the back.

There's two large bolts that are protruding from the wall and the pan sits on these. I'm very tempted to remove the pan off these, but I'm worried that the connection where the pan meets the cistern (in the wall) is connected by something other than a push connection and therefore will snap.

Has anyone ever removed the pan this way or do i have to knock down the wall and tiles to get to the back and unscrew something.

Thanks for all help. the site looks like I might be here often! 🙂

Im my experaince of the wall hung ones ,the flush feed and waste are simply push connections..

If you loosen the bolts off and slide the pan forward then you will see the connections ..

If the pan is on bolts, there should be a proper concealed wc frame behind the tiles, this should also hod the soil pipe and flush pipe in place when you remove pan,cut any silicon seal that is around pan sealing to tiles, undo bolts and just pull free, tipping towards yourself slightly to stop trap water spilling all over,if tiled floor get some cardboard or old towel to sit pan on when out
check soil pipe as not twisted downwards at back as often happens due to lack of support at rear

When reassembling use a bit of silicon grease especially on the flush pipe cone socket in the pan, not the cone itself or it may slide like mad.
