I know this is not the ideal place or time to be looking for work during this tuff time for most companies however,

I am due to start my Evening NVQ 2 Plumbing Course 6129 in September (which I have paid for myself and I am not part of any government scheme) and I would like to find a suitable role within a good company.

I am willing to work for minimum wage for the first 2years until I am qualified and on top of that I am even willing to work every other weekend for free.

I also intend to pay for all other course I take (I want to become a gas safe engineer) and to do those in my own time. I am not looking for a financial commitment from your company and at 26 I know it starts to become increasing hard to find this type of job, I am only asking to be given a chance.

I am hard working, reliable, committed and have outstanding customer service skills. I also have a full driving licence

I have several years of building experience that varies from kitchen fitting to ground works so I have a vast skill set of the general building trade already. Recently I have been working the odd weekend for a gas fitter putting in new central heating systems.

I'm based in East London but am more than happy to spend 1 to 1 and half hours travel to work. I am only seeking a permanent position and would prefer a company that expects a high standard of work, I want to become an outstanding engineer not an ordinary one.

My contact number is 07853 159 116
Thank you for taking the time to read my post and look forward to hearing from you in the near future.

Kind Regards,
Steve

I would like to apologise if it is not allowed to post pitches here on your forum, I’m just desperate for an opportunity.

good luck to you its really tough out here and i think a lot of people will leave the plumbing trade as a result..very few people have enough work to start sharing it out as even on min wage thats 200.00 quid a week someone needs to find to pay you so 800.00 a month

yeah tell me about it, I have had my british gas application put on hold after passing the online assement since last November 🙁

Why it is so tough out there atm ?

Too many qualified people for the sector or just lack of work ? (I know the two kind of go hand in hand)

too many people chasing too little work and tbh too many people sold the dream of big riches as a plumber..its now shifted and its sparkies that are in short supply
there are now shedloads of people who have paid for the plumbing courses and now find there just isnt enough work out there
