got called to boiler last thing today when call for heat fan just humming not spinning no spark. going back in morning as had not time to have better look, wondered if anyone had any pointers on these boilers?

Check voltage at fan, sounds like it's seized or burnt out. If you have voltage there and it's not going then that's your problem.
If no voltage at fan, check overheat stat hasn't popped.
