Hello all,
I have an old Potterton Puma 80 boiler that could do with replacing, but generally works fine.
I came back from 5 days away to find that the pilot light was out and system pressure was very low. This morning I re-pressurised the system to 1.5 Bar but the pilot would not light despite many attempts. Put pressure up a bit higher to 2 Bar and it lit fine.
However, the burners will not light, for central heating nor hot water. I can hear the pump whirring away but nothing comes on and the water pressure in the system drops steadily. In the last five minutes it has reduced right back down to 0.5 Bar.
Any ideas of things I can check myself before I call in a plumber?
Thanks
