Potterton range 155x flue and service advice

Got a call to service a range 155x I know before I have even gone to the property that it requires access panels to inspect the flue. I was wondering if anyone can give me a bit of advice on where to cut. Had a look at the manual got a bend to expose that's easy. But what I need to know is where the terminals offset from one another does the terminal come in a section that's a certain length? If anyone has an idea of a measurement it might save me hacking the guys bedroom ceiling to bits. The boiler is about 4 meters away from the external wall. Did the flue sections come in lengths of 2m or longer? If I know what parts the installer would be dealing with it could give me a good idea as to how he would build the flue. I would rather take an educated guess at this before cutting away.

Any handy hints and tips on servicing it. Always nice to get a heads up 😉

There are a couple old threads on here regarding 155x with hints and tips for servicing etc. I dont recall any of them giving info on original flue section lengths but there are tips on the servicing side including vatious ways to remove the baffles/ turbulators that are always corroded and dropping down the hex tubes. You will need a burner gasket and a sump seal if you are going to service it. There is a fga point on the sump under the cylinder I described more details on how I do some of the service bits in another thread and dont want to retype with my stumpy thumbs.
