Recently moved into a house with a 12 year old potterton suprima 60 boiler. Over the last few weeks the boiler can take from 30 minutes up to 8 hours to fire up. The LED flashes orange and there are no other sounds coming from the boiler or pump. I'm got very little experience with boilers. The boiler has received the replacement pcb kit (5111603).
Over the last couple of days the boiler has not come on at all (LED flashes orange).

Any suggestions to the problem much appreciated

These are well known for PCB faults, New PCB is seal'd unit and you have to rewire boiler cost around £200.00 think about replaceing Boiler, lotts on market with long warranty's.

Is this same for hot water and heating?
The flashing orange light means there is a call for heat to boiler. Is there a room thermostat?

Yes, we get the same problem for hot water and heating - the room thermostat is turned up to max.

will be easy for you just to call a local heating engineer who will take care of this fault !

safety reason !!!

An engineer has checked the boiler and pump etc and all is fine. The pcb looks to have failed. Does anyone know the best price/place to buy and has a good returns policy incase of failure?

Shop around for price , but you will be lucky to find anyone who will take back a PCB, Reason you could have damaged it, and thay can't test it, not clear on price of these , maybe around £200.oo

I'm not sure what to do now. The boiler is 12 years old and judging by the number of problems these boilers get, I could in theory spend £200 on a new ecb to find out that the problem lies somewhere else or the boiler fails again in the next few months or so. Is there any point paying out to get a 12 year old boiler fixed or should I go for a new condenser boiler?
Boilers are all new to me so I've no idea the best one to go for and the typical costs of buying one and getting an engineer to install with all the additional pipe work. Can anyone suggest the best way forward for me and if it is more prudent to go for a new boiler the typical costs to put one in with the most appropriate type of service contracts to be on?

Any advice much appreciated.

Think i would replace it 12 year old boiler could have other faults ! Lots of good boilers around offering 7 years + on warranty.
think no more than £2000.00 depending what has to be done.

If you can afford to invest 2k then replace it. If you can't and need to save up then you can either repair it or take out a service contract as long as it's working on inspection you'll be covered! Just checked out the big boys and they're offering cover for £6.50/month with £50 excess whatever that means?
