Problem with a Ferolli Optima 701

Hello people.

I would be very grateful if somebody could help me with a problem im having with my feroli 701. I recently repressured my boiler as i hadnt used it all summer. on doing this and bleeding my radiators when lighting the boiler and turning on the heating...after maybe 20 seconds the boiler seems to be trying to push the water into the radiators but sounds like a blockage and the boiler shakes and cuts out. i had a plummer out to look at the problem, he tells me the pump is working fine and its the heat exchanger that has been damaged and its not worth fixing it, although when lighting the boiler the hot water still works. Can anyone shed any light on this please as i dont want to scrap the boiler and cause any unwanted costs. much appreciated. Gav

Make sure you ask for i.d. card or look on Gas safe registered website for an individual near you.

Sounds like a circulation problem but you need to be registered to work on it !

Circulation problem? okay thanks a million. You don't think it's heat exchange then as the hot water still works?
