Hi Guys

i recently bought a new back to the wall toilet from a website but my friend was unable to fit it??

it appears as though the porcelain on the waste outlet has some bobbly bits to it therefore the pan connector won't seal around it?

attached some pics

any ideads

This is the problem with buying cheap online, the obvious thing to do is get in touch with the supplier and get them to replace it

If I went to a customers house who had one of these that needed fitting I would be embarrassed as I've never seen that before, it looks like it's made for a rubber union, the type that is sealed with jubilee clips.
It's certainly not made for a standard pan connector.
Will have a look for the rubbery item I'm on about and pop it on my next post.

There we go.
Something like this.

Thanks for the replies guys

I thought it might need some sort of adapter that sat in the soil pipe

Hi

Will using the rubber coupler be as good a seal as using a multikwick??

Also the toilet is a back to wall one so will the rubber coupler still work?

Looks like poor manufacturing. If you can't get a replacement, the rubber union is the way to go.
