I had a customer with a lock out issue, a combi in a loft, so he was going up and down every day to reset the boiler for more than a month during Christmas. Finally they had enough of it and put some money together to get someone in to sort it out. I went straight to the meter under the stairs, the space was proper jammed with anything you can imagine… The ECV was partially shut, that’s all it was to it. Happy days!

Did you check the inlet working pressure?

Think I've got this one sorted this time! Inlet was fine, reset it the other day and when it re-fired the burner light came on, off for 2 seconds then back on again. It started doing this every couple of resets, then eventually every time. Replaced the ionisation probe, the burner light now stays on when it lights. The old probe looked o.k, just very slightly misshapen, and was reading 10 milli-amps. Must of been the slight warp.....
