I need to use a digital timer to provide some very simple timed switching, I have been donated a new Drayton LP241 to do this ... but only using in single channel mode as per attached sketch.

What I need is a single pole double throw arrangement (SPDT)
Requirement is Live to one pin when off and switches to another pin when on
I had assumed that I would simply use a live link to pin 1 and then I would get live on pin 2 when timer off (NC function) and this would switch to pin 3 when timer on.
Ideally I would like to utilise the 'HW' side of the 2 channels to achieve this ... though not critical. (as this is to control auxiliary HW system)
I am getting no switching at all - even if I put into overide 'ON' (both CH & HW) .... live is on pin 2 and stays on pin 2 - could be as simple as faulty unit, in which case I will get it exchanged at trade outlet.
Can you advise if my logic on connections is correct
